A Bit Random
A few random things that have been sitting on my laptop. First this beautiful vintage print…I really just need to have this, or make my own (I never did a painting after finals because I had to fly to Philly to drive Michael back to Michigan for my parents’ trip…so this could be a fun one to copy. Hmmm, maybe I’ll try that.). I just think it’s so beautiful and peaceful. I really just need to replicate it, that’s all there is to it. Second I really like this vest from Marc Jacobs…but OH have you seen the ads for Kohls lately? I saw one in one of my grandma’s home and garden magazines, and it looked pretty stylish!!! It has been YEARS since I went into a Kohls (mostly because I kinda grew out of their juniors, but didn’t quite fit in the women’s stuff/I thought it was ugly) but I may have to check it out. Hmmm… Third is this cute stationary that I could see Melanie using. I need to renew my commitment to write more letters and notes by hand. I really do have a lifetime supply of stationary that my grandparents gave me, and I need to get a move on using it–lest it’s still sitting around by the time I get married and I’m no longer a Sprinkel (that’ll be a really sad day, actually–I like my name a lot). And finally this kinda seashell-like vase. Way out of my price range (hello IKEA), but very cute nonetheless.

Some More Fun Interiors
YELLOW!
Well, as those of you who know me well know, I’m pretty much obsessed with yellow (like my car, my laptop, my KitchenAid stand mixer…)–so I was really quite delighted when I came across so many yellow interiors–especially in the kitchen! I am absolutely adamant about having a blue kitchen with yellow and green accents; I think that would be so pretty!! Christine and I ARE going to paint the living room a lightish blue, so that will be really exciting, and I’ll be sure to post those pics when we’re done (prob sometime in the middle of September, since that’s when I’m moving back to Chicago). Anyway, yellow!
This first one is actually Clinton Kelly’s apartment, and I really like it because it’s not so loud, and has an understated elegance about it without being stuffy.
This next one I am so in love with and I would definitely think about implementing in my own home, whenever I own one…the blacksplash is to die for.
Next I wouldn’t actually put in my home because I wouldn’t have the guts, and probably whoever I was living with wouldn’t be able to stand it, but I think the idea of diagonal paint across the wall is interesting.
And finally, an awesome spread from Zara Home–hello corporate!

Interiors
Thinking about…
…organizing my bookshelf based on color. I found this on design*sponge, where someone had their bookshelf arranged so each shelf was a different color category. I haven’t really looked closely at the colors of my books, but I think i could replicate the idea pretty well, just given how many books I have (there has to be some variety, right?). So yeah. I’m getting another shelf for the bookcase from my aunt next week, so maybe when i put that in I’ll try it out. We’ll see. Could be fun!
Lois Aronow
Wish I could go here–if only I lived in New York.
Lois Aronow has some really cute porcelain creations I just discovered through the Brooklyn Designs site. She also has an etsy store here. I wish she would add some more things, but I really liked these two especially! And that little plant is precious!

Black & Spiro
OMG I so want to go here!!
