Le Art

Hello! This morning I am happy to be eating a raspberry poptart and dove chocolate and orange juice (hm now that I type that out it kinda sounds like a disgusting combo, but it really is yummy!!!) and blog-blog-bloggin away. My class was unexpectedly canceled today, so, uh, I am free again today! Honestly I haven’t done much work in the past few days…except for my investments problem set which took like not a lot of time at all. Maybe I should go into finance, after all… Oh, and I think I’m finally gonna get my hair cut today. If all goes well I’ll share some pics soon. :) Anyway, lately I’ve been saving a lot more art than I normally do. Here’s what I like today:

First up, underwater photography. I have a real soft spot for flowy garments under water.

And lastly, this one is called Horizon, by the very talented Emily Barletta. It reminds me so much of the mountains in the Indian paintings Laura and I saw when we went to the Freer Gallery in DC a few weekends ago–see below!!!

Built By Wendy

I haven’t known about Built By Wendy for too long, but gosh I’m really loving her Fall 08 Collection! I love how everything looks so effortless and free…I love everything about this first photo–the dress, the print, the black tights, the big bag, and man-oh-man those shoes.

I really love how the black jacket floats away from her body here…so cute without even trying to be.

I love love love this look. I could wear it every day to work.

I even think my brother would like this sweater!, and it’s hard to find him clothes that he’d wear besides the Gap. I just love the collar!

My Love Affair with the Kindle Continues

But I feel only lukewarm about the cover. I find it really comfortable to read with the cover on, but I wish it did a better job of holding the Kindle in place. The little plastic piece on mine has smashed in on one side, making the Kindle tip to the right when I try to read–rather annoying! I did a cursory search on a replacement cover, but none of the ones I found were that inspiring. Oh how I wish they would make one that matched the covers of these Penguin classics!
