I wonder what Amazon’s Q4 Kindle sales will be now that Oprah has given it her endorsement?

    Yeah, we’ll see how things unravel. My personal feeling is people who have already adopted the Kindle (and naysayers who still see the value in Amazon’s much larger store) have high hopes for version 2.0. If it’s awesome, look out Sony! If it’s only marginally better than the current version, I could see a lot of people switching. With Apple, we’ve gotten used to pretty technology that evolves fast, and it’ll be hard to convince people to settle when there are better alternatives. We’ll see!! (Sorry for the delayed response…just now saw I had a comment since I didn’t have the email update option checked ;) ).
