So, I’m kind of in love with these composites by Patrick Winfield. I really do love mosaics, and this gives a more serious, artsy vibe to them. Below are my favorites, but you can see lots more here.

Frank Lloyd Wright, Valentines, and Sprout Home
A bit of a random mix this time, but I have some extra things I’ve accumulated over finals week that I haven’t gotten a chance to post until now. First, really enjoy this house by Frank Lloyd Wright. I’ve decided I’m not the biggest fan of his architecture in general, and I find some of his furniture pieces really boring, but I really like this one. Reminds me of the Robie House, which is located right next to the GSB. Yay for culture just next door! Hahaha. Also, thought these valentines were pretty darn cute. I’ll have to use the idea next year, or incorporate it into some other party/celebration. Reminds me of something Pam and Jim would do. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with The Office. In fact I’ve downloaded and watched the first three and a half seasons (still have a few more to go on the fourth before I’m up to date) in the past few weeks, and, man, is it good. It’s actually really nice that I’m getting into it now, after Jim and Pam have gotten together. I don’t think I would have been able to wait in real time. They’re still uber cute though
And finally, I really like this flower pot from Sprout Home, which apparently is located here in Chicago but as it’s way uber expensive and I don’t have a car, I don’t thin I’ll be visiting it anytime soon. I still do want to start a little herb garden in the kitchen, but I haven’t quite gotten around to it yet. I really should look into that. Especially if Colleen isn’t going to be here in June. Hmmmm. Also need to find a source of income during school year, that would be ideal.

Interiors
My newest website addiction is design*sponge, and my favorite part is the sneak peeks section, where they invade sylists’ or designers’ homes and post their pictures and inspirations for the rooms. This first one is apparently of some office…um, I want to work there! I love the gray striped walls, the metal flowers on the wall, and the zebra rug! Actually lately I’ve been all about animal prints (I know, shocking). The second and third pictures are of kitchen tables. I love the contrast of the wood table and the metal chairs, especially in the third picture because, man, those look comfy!! And the last couple pics are a vision of my future living room. Hahaha, I really like the couch, the long bench-style coffee table, the two opposing Dutch chairs, the antiquey mirror, and the wall of books. Sounds like my kind of place!

Mosaic Mirrors on Etsy
Still thinking about starting an etsy store, and recently came across a whole bunch of these mosaic mirrors. They are so cute and would really add a lot of character to any room! Maybe I should get back into crafting. Sewing is hard on my schedule because it’s not something I can easily put down and pick back up. Mosaics would be easier, and I already have a ton of tiles I could use. We’ll see.

Stella McCartney for adidas
I really love the new Stella McCartney line at adidas. I especially like the gray booties and the ballet flats! Oh and the black sneakers…kinda glam for a sneaker
Oh, well okay, I pretty much like them all. I am still holding out for an interview at Nike, so if that happens I’ll have to tell them that they need to up the anty in the shoe department hehehe. But my interview with TJX went well yesterday (I think!), and I should hear early next week if I got it or not! Yay!
Oh, the last pair isn’t by Stella McCartney; it’s their Mega Bounce running shoe…looks pretty nifty!

Photo Mosaics
This site is kind of neat…you can make your own photo mosaics from all of your travels or photo library. A good way to consolidate all those file folders if you’re an obsessive photographer like I am.
Edward Hopper
Interview
Hooray! I have an interview with t.j.maxx next wednesday for their MBA merchandising internship
It’s located in their headquarters in Framingham, MA, which is a half hour west of Boston. Oh man, I am imagining weekend trips to Cape Cod already! No, but seriously, I really think it might be a good fit, so hopefully I’ll learn more about it and the meeting will go well–wish me luck! And I’ll let you know how it goes next week. Oh, I am so ready to be done with finals!!
Running Log 1
Following the Running Idiot’s example, I’m going to log how much I ran and how I felt during it (until I get my nike+ that is, I think i found someone on ebay who’s going to sell me their ipod for $40!!) so I can reference it later and see how far I’ve come. I’ll just start with this week and it’ll be like a fresh start. Yay!
Tuesday: easy run
2 miles @ 9:22
Felt pretty good, first day back in it so my mind easily wandered. Listened to Phillips, Craig & Dean, who I really enjoy listening to during exercise. They’re a good mix of upbeat and slow, powerful songs that can be a part of your daily worship-yay, bonus! My heart hurt only a little bit (good), and overall did fine. Kept daydreaming about finishing the marathon (hahaha, just a mere 7 months away). Did a half hour or so of yoga/stretching afterwards.
Wednesday: cross-training day
1 mile @ 9:22
Shouldn’t have run anything, especially right after I ate, but I felt so good from yesterday that I wanted to continue and just do a little bit. Eh, probably a bad idea because I felt a little ill in my stomach afterwards. Also have a blister on my right foot, I really need to stop wearing cotton socks. Did 45 minutes or so of yoga afterwards, especially working on pike stretches as my left leg is a ways behind my right leg! Need to even those up!
A Fun Way To Spend A Few Moments
Believe it or not, but I came across Style Feeder off of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s site (can’t remember why i was on there…oh yes, I was looking to see about some leather leggings of theirs I saw someone wearing…turns out, they’re like $3000. Woops.) Anyway, I’m a fan, and now that I’ve actually figured out how to add things, I’ll probably be on there more regularly. hooray!
